Texas authorities are ramping up efforts to block migrants from illegally crossing the Rio Grande and entering the United States.

Dramatic confrontations between mobs of illegal aliens and police and soldiers stationed at the southern border have been captured and shared on social media this week.

On Monday, a large group of migrants was prevented from moving deeper into Texas as they waded across a shallow section of the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass.

Drone footage captured by border reporter Auden Cabello showed more than 100 migrants thwarted by fencing on the U.S. side of the river.

Simultaneously, dozens of single adults broke through a fence nearby, but were quickly arrested by Texas Department of Public Safety troopers.

More than 50 migrants ran into a section of razor wire at Eagle Pass, which Texas officers fortified as the group demanded to be let into the U.S. by Border Patrol agents.

Some migrants claim they have been living on the banks of the Rio Grande for days after being repelled by wire barricades and authorities.
