An illegal migrant from Africa was caught in the act of vandalizing dozens of cars parked around a police station in France this week, according to reports.

The incident unfolded at around 6 a.m. on Monday morning in the culturally-enriched city of Marseille.

Two officers encountered the suspect outside the Évêché police station as they were heading to their vehicles to go home.

“The two civil servants came face to face with him around 6 a.m. when they came to pick up their car at the end of their shift,” a police source told Actu17.

Officers discovered the suspect had damaged at least 35 cars belonging to authorities working at the station.

The vehicles had all been scratched with a metal object.

When he was arrested, the suspect told cops he was 16 years old.

However, it was later discovered that he is an adult male from Guinea illegally present in the country.

Additionally, the man was already under orders to leave French territory (OQTF).

An investigation and legal proceedings are ongoing.

A heated debate over crime and lawlessness tied to mass migration has been raging in France.

Military leaders fired off multiple incendiary letters last year, warning the Macron government of looming "civil war" if strong measures are not taken to regain control of a society spiraling into chaos.
