Belgian Official Slams “Immigrant Scum” After Teen Boy Brutally Beaten by Gang

A prominent official slammed “immigrant scum” after a teenage boy was hospitalized with possible brain damage suffered during a brutal beating caught on camera in Belgium, according to reports.

The shocking attack unfolded on Thursday afternoon in Grammont, a commune in the province of East Flanders.

A 16-year-old boy who has been repeatedly threatened by a gang demanding he sell drugs for them or pay for protection was ambushed after school near the central transit station, according to the victim’s father.

Footage of the horrific beating has been circulating on social media.

At least four black males can be seen ferociously punching, kicking, and stomping the victim after he is knocked to the ground as a crowd watches.

An older man who reportedly attempted to intervene was also assaulted by the suspects.

“My son’s nose is crushed, his eye socket is swollen, there is blood under his eye socket, and doctors can’t yet say whether he will suffer brain damage,” the boy’s father told GVA.

“I think it’s a shame that we have to take matters into our own hands, I don’t understand where we are going as a society. I hope the court does its job.”

Tom Van Grieken, a Flemish official and leader of the Vlaams Belang party, raged on social media after seeing the video.

“I think this is terrible. This poor boy is a victim of the so-called multicultural society and the other parties? They are all silent. They don’t care. They do not want real change and are mainly complicit,” he wrote on Sunday.

In a follow up post after new footage emerged, Van Grieken vowed that his party “will never remain silent about how this kind of immigrant scum is ruining our society. Time for law and order.”

Two underage suspects were arrested and placed in juvenile detention while a third is expected to appear before a judge later this week amid an ongoing investigation.
