Underage Girls Targeted in Multiple Sex Attacks in French City
Teenage girls were the victims of multiple sex attacks committed by adult men at a kebab shop and shopping center just hours apart in a French city over the weekend, according to reports.
The disturbing incidents unfolded on Saturday evening in Nantes, a city in the Brittany region.
A mother and her two daughters, ages 13 and 15, were shopping at the Leclerc Océane Rezé center at around 7 p.m. when a man groped their buttocks, Ouest France reports.
Security guards quickly apprehended the man, about whom little information has been made public.
A short time later, at a nearby kebab shop, a trio of 15-year-old girls were preparing to exit after eating a meal when they were surrounded by around 10 men who sexually harassed and assaulted them.
“These men touched them in the buttocks, chest and private parts,” a police source told Ouest France.
The suspects fled the scene after bystanders intervened.
The girls were taken into protection by local transit workers until police arrived and later delivered to their parents.
Authorities identified and apprehended one of the attackers, an 18-year-old male with no known address.
An investigation is ongoing.
