WATCH: Border Reporters Uncover NGO-Run Migrant Pipeline in Mexico

Border Hawk traveled deep into Piedras Negras, Mexico, to investigate the migrant pipeline being operated by activists, NGOs, and the U.S. government.

There we visited one of many shelters where migrants gather to apply for asylum via the CBP One app under the instruction and care of activists working for NGOs like Doctors Without Borders.

One group of Honduran migrants told us they planned to enter the U.S. after filing their CBP One application.

Border reporters Auden Cabello and Efraín González explained how local economies in border cities are heavily dependent on mass migration and the inflows of people and cash it brings.
