WATCH: Fugitive Facing Deportation Arrested for Lewd Act on Cape Cod Beach
A man on the run from the law and facing deportation from the U.S. was arrested for exposing his genitals to a woman on a Massachusetts beach this week, according to reports.
The shocking incident unfolded at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday in Hyannis, a village in the town of Barnstable on Cape Cod.
Barnstable police were alerted by a woman who said a man performed a “lewd act” in front of her on Kalmus Beach, the Boston Herald reports, citing court documents.
The woman showed photos of the suspect to responding officers and he was located nearby with his pants still partially unbuttoned.
The suspect refused to cooperate during his arrest and officers were forced to drag him off the beach in handcuffs, video published by NBC 10 shows.
He was identified as Cesar Perez-Velazquez, a 28-year-old foreign national who was residing in Lawrence, MA.
Perez-Velazquez originally lied to officers and claimed his name was “Pedro Martinez,” according to the Herald.
Authorities discovered Perez-Velazquez was on the lam, having skipped out on bail for a DUI charge in New Hampshire.
Perez-Velazquez is also under a deportation order and is wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
He is facing a slew of new charges following his latest arrest, including lewd behavior and misleading a police officer.
