A town center in England was plunged into chaos when hundreds of ‘youths’ terrorized pedestrians and businesses on the final day of school last week, according to reports.

The shocking events unfolded on Friday afternoon in Watford, located near the outskirts of Greater London.

Footage circulating on social media shows mobs of school kids wreaking havoc in the streets and shopping centers as authorities struggle to restore order.

Massive groups of roving teens can be seen storming the Atria mall and a local cinema, the Watford Observer reports.

One local resident said a “shopkeeper had to break off from serving to stop kids helping themselves to drink machines, going to walk out and when challenged they say, ‘It’s free.'”

In one clip, a male youth runs toward a moving bus before throwing a beverage at the windshield.

“Officers immediately attended the scene and worked in liaison with the atria centre security staff to manage the crowd, as well as ensure the safety of the wider public,” a police spokesman said.

“Officers continued to patrol and monitor the situation throughout the afternoon however the majority of the young people had left the area of their own accord by 5pm.”

It in unclear if an investigation is being carried out or if arrests will be made.
